Newbie

[Oh my chickens]

I am so new to raising chickens that I am often baffled by what I read about them. I have mixed flock of 16 birds, Leghorns and Barred Plymouth Rocks. I put up a fight when the SO ordered them and I have been left to learn as much as I can about them. My birds are free ranging in the backyard which sometimes causes a problem with my pup but it’s nothing that I can’t handle. I stumbled upon this site while looking for advice!

She is a red nose pit. However the vet says she looks more like a yellow lab pit mix. She’s super snuggly and loves to give kisses. The wild birds don’t stand a chance against her and she is still not sure about the chickens.
