Hello all other chicken lovers,
I am new to raising chickens but it has been on my bucket list forever. I live on a ranch in central FL with my husband, step-children, a horse, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 38 chickens and 36 cattle. I am a gerontologist and work as a Geriatric Care Manager. I have 8 different breeds of chickens. But my personal favorites are Americanas. I have other hobbies such as sewing, hand crafts, permaculture gardening, polymer clay bead jewelry, bullet journaling and hiking. It's a busy life, but it is very fulfilling. I love sharing our eggs with others, most are given away.
