Hi everyone!!
I am a chicken newbie. We just moved to Florida and have lots of land so we decided on raising some backyard chickens. We first got our chickens at the end of July or beginning of August. First batch was from TSC and I have acquired other chicks from hatcheries or or feed stores. We have a total of 14 chickens. 11 of them are the same age (around 16-18 weeks) and the other three are younger but are the same age within themselves (around 6-8 weeks). I have a mixed flock of bantams, silkies, polishes, columbina Wyandotte’s or Delaware’s one Easter egger which I have fallen in love with and a Green Queen and one Isa brown. I love their personalities!! We are a family of 4. With two teenagers plus two small dogs. Hoping to add a third dog soon. I’m hoping this community will help solve some answers to this newbie chicken owner!
