Hey everyone, new chick momma from Michigan here 
We purchased 3.25 acres of heaven in November that came WITH a chicken coop and fenced-in area included. We did some repairs, some adjustments, and some purchases and we are now the proud owners of 5 Wyandottes, 1 Mystic Maran, 3 Easter Eggers (they were sold as Americana's but I've learned since that they were uneducatedly - yes, that's a word LOL - labeled), 3 Rhode Island Blues & 2 Amberlink Straight Runs (both were pullets). They are currently 8 weeks old (we think) and are growing so fast. We are planning on using them as layers until they stop laying and then using them as sustenance for ourselves. We are giving them the BEST life possible, while it lasts Can't wait to meet more crazy chicken lovers here
