I didn't look at this very thoroughly but there is a material list included. So ive been looking on here for quite a while before joining. I am gonna copy "wichita coop/the palace/boisemarkers coop. got my dimensions and a spot in the yard. do you know where any of these coops have a materials list i can custom?
I personally would convert a shed into a coop. Once upon a time, I had a raised coop. It killed my back trying to work in it. It is very hard to retrieve chickens from an elevated coop.
I converted a shed on my property into my coop and would never recommend anything else. It made everything about keeping chickens so much easier and better.
You have 9 birds and should really leave room for expansion so I would design for 12.
That means you should have a MINIMUM of 48 sq feet of coop floor space (this does not include nest boxes) and have 12" of roost space per bird, a run that is 180 sq feet, bigger if you can, that is protected from rain and standing water and has lots of perches and things to climb on and dig around in for run litter. Crowding birds leads to all manner of behavioral and health issues.
