I have 6 chickens that range from 9-7 weeks old. This has been a very interesting time so far.
My husband and I live in Michigan and built a condo coop and run. We have spent more money on it then we will ever save on eggs. lol. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat.
Anyway, I know you all will have some good information for me to read and question.
Thanks for any help you might give.

Clearly, you are already well on your way to advanced chicken math. Simple chicken math is the endless addition of more birds than you ever intended to -- or have room to -- acquire.

To achieve advanced status, you have to spend a gazillion dollars on housing and feed -- with the only possible way to recoup any money being to sell eggs for about $100 each.

You will fit in so well here! Welcome to BYC!

Hello and Welcome. I hope you weren't planning your budget on saving egg money. Really, you need to sell birds and a lot of eggs for it to be a profitable venture. Also, you need to collect every single egg recipe you can find, and even invent a few and tell us about them because we eat a lot of eggs. If we in this group grew coffee beans, we would all want to know how you sleep. :)
