Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

yes and no... I worked chickens, ducks and turkeys with my dad when I was young. I was told I can have them in my town... got some and found out I couldn't so I had to get rid of them (gave them to a friend's dad).

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Sadly 0

(3) What breeds do you have? I had barred rock & rhode island reds

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I loved my girls, going out and hanging out with them was so fun!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

photography, gardening and right now I'm working on hosting a seed swap in my town. I'm also currently researching how to change a city ordinance on the "only 1 chicken per acre" issue I ran into.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I'm married to a VERY talented husband, 2 kids and a dog mom to 2 babies. I work for a place that makes train tracks and buildings (toy ones not real)

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I just found out about it and figured it would be fun!
Thanks!

Welcome to BYC. There are others here who have fought ordinances. Perhaps you will find information which will help you.
