newbird quetsweyo here. I started with ducks and was doing well until the racoon that lives in my attic had babies. Was going to shoot her but i didnt want to raise 3 baby coons. So i was looking at the 4 ducks i has left and went to tsc to see what they had ducklings all gone but had adorable chicks and i thought "why not". Brought home 2 red pullets and 3 'tetra tint' pullets. Never heard of tetra tints and that is how i found backyardchickens. I also have 3 dogs, 6 cats(ones 18), a handfull of guppies and an indian ornamental tarantula. Retired on disability, ive worked in a jewelry factory, dental lab, and was an oil lab tech for too many years. Anyway thats how i have 5 chicks and came to this site. Im so afraid of losing my chicks im planning on using my unused, unwanted kitchen for their coop. Before i run out of room...do not buy a kyocera loft cell phone!! You wouldnt believe how SLOW it is for interweb. Now i have chics to name!
