Welcome from Louisiana!

That's kind of similar to the design of the tractor I'm going to build this next week.  I'm pretty excited about it.  Mine won't have the closed in area.  I don't want that.  It will all be open to the air except the top part which will have a tarp on it to keep out the rain and hot sun.   I was a little taken aback to find how much it was going to cost me.  I hope it works like I expect.

Thanks again for the information on the critter feeding.  I was feeding what looked like a very large otter.  My cat is now gone.

Maybe u should get a trap.
I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty :(
That is truly horrible

Thanks. I'm pretty sad about it because I did love that cat a lot. I called her Mama Kitty. She would hardly let anyone else touch her, but she let me hold her, pick her up, and she loved on me every day and thanked me for the food. I'm still hoping that she will show up, but it's been about 2 weeks now. I'm pretty sad about it.

This was a very big animal. I would say it was about 35-45 pounds, and big. I don't know what it was, but I wouldn't want to tangle with it. I think the only trap I'd feel comfortable with setting for it would be a leghold. I wouldnt' want to try to get it out of a cage. (Leg hold traps are illegal in CA I believe). I am afraid of it. It is very, very big. Much larger than a mink but looks like one.
