Been looking over this website for weeks now and I am learning so much.Im new to raising chickens but my husband had lots of them growing up so he's been helping me out.I have four 3month old chickies,2 silkies and 2 white leghorns(thats what they called em at the feed store).I've had them all since they were 3 days old.We built them a chicken coop and put it inside an old dog kennel we had.We have critter proofed it as well as we could and I go out every evening around 8:30pm to close the door to the coop.My husband says I dont need to worry about closing the door but I told him I'd rather be safe than sorry.I have grown so fond of these lil ones.They are making the best pets !!! Look forward to learning all I can from all ya"ll 
Our neighbours had some white leghorns, they're pretty nice too.
