Newbie!

Hello everyone,
I don't have any chickens as of yet but I am caring for a duck right now. His name is Shemp and he was passed over to us from someone that found him abandoned. I've been checking out this site for a little while and thought it would be nice to actually join and chat with everyone. I'm currently saving up some money to move to a bigger place and hopefully that will include chickens as well as ducks.

Hi Maristone,
I'm a new member myself and we have a few Runner ducks at our yard that drive us crazy. Love em to bits but I'm forever tripping over them as they follow me around. The wood duck is certainly lovely looking.
Might be an idea to get him a female friend or two. If you can find someone selling this breed then they could give you (hopefully) all the info you need. I know they are flighty and escape often but I have that with our OEG birds and spend many a rainy night chasing them round the yard as I can't go home due to our resident foxes.
