Might be an idea to get him a female friend or two. If you can find someone selling this breed then they could give you (hopefully) all the info you need. I know they are flighty and escape often but I have that with our OEG birds and spend many a rainy night chasing them round the yard as I can't go home due to our resident foxes.

I would love to get him a buddy. I haven't found any breeders around my area yet and not any that will ship just one duck. Fingers crossed though. Until then I bought him a beanie baby duck that I found at a flea market. I thought maybe it could keep him company. He is terrified of it. I'm not sure why or if that has anything to do with being raised by humans but it's almost funny to watch since the toy duck is tiny compared to Shemp. I'm curious to see if he'd be different around a live duck or if he will be afraid of her too.
