Thanks for the welcomes! I went to my first chicken swap and learned a lot. Also, I got the contact info of a breeder, and I should be getting my first hens next week!!! They're Rhode Island Reds. I couldn't get them today because I hadn't built my coop, yet. However, the seller had some more at his farm. Almost finished with the coop...should finish Monday. Very excited! Any tips or suggestions??
 
Forgot to add that they're almost six months old and should be ready to begin laying eggs in about 3 weeks!!
