Hello chicken farmers! We live in Indiana. I'm 36 years old. We have 19 chickens. I can't wait to find my first egg! This is so exciting to us.

Yes, finding that first egg is THE most EGG-citing time in keeping chickens! Still after all these years, I really enjoy finding those treasure in the nest boxes. So I hope your eggs start coming soon! When the girls combs and faces turn red and they start to squat for you, generally sometime that week, you may see your first egg. That squat means, the eggs are in the pipe!!
