Hey y'all,

New here and new to backyard poultry. We currently have two ducks. The are about 10 weeks old. Pretty sure we have a female Pekin who is named Diva and we are unsure of our other one, named Bumblebee

We also help my grandmother with her chickens. She has about 14 and right now has three sitting hens. We've had 4 babies hatch the past few days.

Right now, I'm interested in what breed and sex our second duck might be.

Thanks for any help, direction or information.

I don't know anything about ducks but, the black and one has very nice coloration. I don't know why but, his expression makes me think male. If you post his/her photo on the duck threads someone may be able to ID him unless he is a mixed breed.

Hey!!

I'm new also & learning so much here! I have 2 Pekins (both female) about 9-10 weeks old. They were given to us by some neighbors & we knew so little we thought we could just turn them out on our lake when they got bigger, lol. Unfortunately, that's not the case so my sweet husband is building a duck house & then a pen for them. Right now they're in his shop & he's ready for them to move out I'm sure. We also have a female Muscovy duck that we feed but she pretty much takes care of herself.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your ducks as much as we have. I think they're so pretty & behave so hilariously!!! I love your black & white one!! What a handsome fella!! Don't know why but to me it just looks like a male (but what do I know - I'm a newbie too).

I live in Alabama & look forward to seeing you online.
