So glad to find this forum! I am brand new to the wide world of chickens and other friendly fowl. I am in the process of transforming our 13x13 shed into a coop, and have 6 chicks and 2 ducklings growing rapidly in a large Guinea pig cage. I look forward to learning from everyone's experiences and will post pics as we progress through this new adventure.

Glad you could join the flock! Congrats on your new chicks and ducklings I too use a guinea cage to brood with in the house for the first week or so depending on how many I have. They share do grow super fast. What breeds do you have? Have you dropped by the learning Center? Lots of great articles on raising happy and healthy birds.
