There should be a whole bunch hatching soon from the looks of our list. I'm sending everyone hatching vibes. At 4:30 today, I'm at the end of day 21 with the 4 silkie eggs which had no movement, no pips, no signs of wanted to be my friends

However, I finish this hatch with the 7 Welsummer eggs that go to hatcher Tuesday. I am still holding out some hope for them.

I have a much higher IQ than your average hen.... you would think I could figure this out.

Watching for your results..... come on newbie hatchers..... go!

If you look back, SpecklenHen tells us that bloodrings count against the hatch as they began to develop but became quitters. Infertile eggs that never began to develop are culled when candled at day 10, and do not count against the hatch. So, I believe you are trying to state:
10 eggs set - 8 eggs culled yesterday and 2 remain to hatch in 17 or 18 days? So where did the 2 that hatched come in the the mix... I'm confused. please help me understand.

i only had two fertile eggs and both hatched so ... 100%

My 3rd little baby is trying so hard to get out of that shell. He's peeping and rocking and rolling all over the place!

The other two are running all over the place and jumping around like kids at Christmas time! LOL They're still a little wet but I can now see the feathering on their feet. They're so darn tiny!

All my other chicks that I got from TSC are standards. These are my first bantys and I guess I didn't realize how teeny tiny they are compared to my standards! LOL

Come on little one...come see your mama!!

I can't believe I actually get to post here now!

I have 8 chicks! out of 16 original eggs.
4 that I tossed were infertile/no development
2 stopped early on
2 died right before hatch.
Thats 8/12, or 2/3 or 67%
Not bad for a newbie!
It just seems like such a miracle, that these eggs were shipped all the way across the country, artificially incubated, and still produced life! I am humbled by the event.
Here is a link to pics of my new chicks:
