Hello my name is Tracy, I lived on a farm 1/2 of my life in the south and the other 1/2 in the north and other 1/2 in south so I am familiar with chickens, ducks, goats, cows and horses. I never thought I would ever want chickens, ducks or even a garden growing up considering my brother and I cleaned the chicken house/yard, stalls etc. and worked the garden.
My hubby Mark is strictly a city boy from the north. A handy one though I might add. We were blessed when we bought our nice big farm house that we are always working on. We have a 6 year old son and we are in process of adopting 2 little girls one that is 2 years old and another that is 8 years old. We also open our home to foster children (mostly siblings) and always fill our home with a total of 6 to 7 kids including ours, the good thing about having a big farmhouse is everyone has their own bedrooms except hubby and I, but we don't mind sharing a bedroom. People say we already have a farm between kids and animals lol.
We have 3 cats, Mookie is our old lady she is 26 this year and healthy as ever, just going a little deaf, Meeshka is our 2 year old cat and Moxie that is 10 months old. We also have 2 Newfoundland pups/dogs. Our Moses is black he is 2 years old and very lovey and laid back the vet says he will weigh when fully grown approx. 230. Our Maddy is redish brown/white and she is 1 years old and since we had her fixed she is calm and such a sweetheart, the vet says she will weigh approx. 250 when she is fully grown. Our dogs love to go camping with all of us. We also have 3 guinea pigs that are 1 year old Rose, Peanut and Miss Lilly Pig.
And our new additions to our family are 4 Red Sex Link hens that are approx 3 to 4 weeks old, 4 Golden Lace Wyandotts that are 2 weeks old, 4 Buff Orpington hens that are 3 days old, a White NJ Giant rooster that is 3 days old and 4 Pekin ducks that are almost 6 weeks old.
Well that is a little about us.
