Newbie's First Hatch - Notes, Questions, and Pics to Come

Lol, I have a heck of a time getting my wife to help. She's scared to death of birds, but thinks chicks are so cute.
She's nit too fond of our comets now they they are growing up. Lol

You've got comets too? that's what we've got. Just send your wife out with the treats and they will love her to death! Wait maybe that might not help her then they will be all over her the second they see her

I wasn't to fond of the whole chicken thing at first but it grew on me especially how cute they are even when they get bigger they still have there own cuteness especially when you find the right treat to give them

We had our first hatch this afternoon.

Just as we were about to leave the house we found this

And when we got back home....

With 6 more in the hatching process I expect to have a few more babies here shortly

So out of 10 eggs 7 hatched, one have up mid hatch and 2 have yet to hatch.

I think that for our first hatch we've done pretty well with a 70% hatch rate when I was only expecting a couple maybe 2 to hatch.

Will post pictures soon
