My babies will be 3 weeks old on Wednesday, they have started doing I don't know what harassing each other showing dominance, fighting what?
They run/fly at each other with their feet facing forward? what are they doing, Do I have an entire brooder full of roo's? are they playing?
No blood no missing feathers they also bump each other with their chests feathers all puffed out? Help experts please reply quickly , I'm worried they will hurt each other they fly fast and chirp loudly when they get hit. Are they getting too big for the 48 x50 inch brooder? I have they grow out box ready its bigger, but not by a whole lot its a water melon box has lots of extra room with 2 long perches and I can add a run if I have too. Kim

If you have 30 chicks in there, yes, they need both brooders, perhaps you can hook them together somehow. 3 and 4 week olds need 1 sq ft per chick, twice that for 4-8 weeks. As always these are estimates or guidelines -- but a 4x4 is only big enough for 16 chicks at 3 weeks.

Yes it's normal chick behavior, playring or pretend fighting, but you don't want it escalating or getting out of hand.
