Hi we are building our chicken coop we would like to seal it and was wondering if Thompson water seal works and safe for the chickens. We are new at this
Thank you
I don't see why it wouldn't be just so it is fully dry before chickens get too it but in my personal opinion i would use a coat of paint. Welcome to BYC!
Welcome to BYC! glad you joined our happy flock. I agree, just paint and make sure it is VOC free. Better for you, the environment and the chickens. Enjoy your new chicken adventure.
Well, if you want a rustic look like I do, TWS is the best choice.
Once a year, I plan on spraying the wood with TWS. I'll keep the gals inside when I do.
If my coop was the same, I'd brush it on so there wouldn't be any over spray.
