Great recipe @Debbie292d. I will have to try it.Me again.
For fermenting, I don't do the feed because it becomes mush, but chickens love mush so you do as you wish, but I just ferment 50% Kalmbach's Henhouse Reserve (3 gallons), 25% whole oats, 25% whole wheat, a cup of flax and 1/2 cup of chia. This all goes in a bin dry and stirred up.
Use whatever you want, then fill a quart jar half full of it. Fill the rest of the way with non-chlorinated water and cover loosely. Each day stir it and top with water. Three days later it's ready to serve.
This feeds 14 adults and 10 three-month-olds, all silkies.
If you want it for every day, you'll need 3 jars.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4 Serve Day 1, make a new batch.
This is pretty close to how I do it and a good visual. I forgot to add that I do drain mine too.Welcome.
