I’m a new quail owner, hoping to learn more about raising quail especially for home-use eggs.

Thank you! I have a male bobwhite quail. Would like to add some females to my collection. Would like to have eggs for eating and for maybe incubating in future? Very new to all this!

I don't know much about Bobwhites, sorry. I raise Coturnix.
I can tell you that Coturnix are pretty nice and lay well.

No, I do not believe you can raise the two types together.

We have a friend who sells them for meat and we got him home and started looking into other possibilities.
