Hello, I am Trina in the suburbs of Portland and just got my first little babies and wanted to say hello. They are in a large box indoors with me and I purchased a 250w red lamp. I have the box covered with chicken wire and a blanket over half of it. They seem content. The first time they feel asleep it sure gave me a start. Thank goodness for the search feature on this site. We have a Cat aND she doesn't know what has hit our house. She can't get at them and it's driving her loopy. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I don't know what allot of the terms I am seeing mean. Like what is a brooder?

Thank you. I researched it quite a bit after asking and came up with some cool ideas. We have created a brooder that is completely protected from the cat. And the new Coop is also completely enclosed. 1st night went great all 3 are Eatting and drinking and seem content. The cat now realizes she can't get to them so she has moved on and is ignoring them. But I will be a watchful mama. Lol. I got an americana, a Rhode Island red, and a black one that I forgot the name of. Crap need to go find out.
