I have a newborn baby chick and there is something wrong with its neck. The chick wont even stand up it just flops on the ground. I t know if I should try to make a brace or something, but I want to try to help the little baby. It tries to move but doesn't succeed. Please help!

Welcome to BYC!

Sorry about your chick. He probably needs some vitamins or a sugar boost. Sometimes the blood sugar can be off, or they can have vitamin deficiencies leading to weakness in the neck and legs. If you have any pedialyte you can use this as his water. A couple heaping tablespoons of sugar in a quart or water can help too. Any poultry vitamins or rooster booster can help as well. Either of these in the water may help this little guy.

However I suggest you post this question in our raising chicks forums for more help with him...

Good luck with this baby. I hope he pulls thru.

did you hatch it, and if so was it a long hatch. did something flatten it like a tipped over feeder or crushed by another chicken pinned by eggs in an incubator? i had one look similiar a few weeks back and it didn't make it, i had to help it out of the shell and it was never able to hold it's neck up. welcome to BYC

Yes I hatched the chicken in an incubator, but there was nothing in there to crush the egg or anything.
