Just had my first ever ducklings hatch. Because they hatched at day 34 we think they might be muscovys (got given the eggs from neighbour). My question is are ducks born with splayed legs? They are only about 12 hours old but each leg sticks out. They can get around. Not sure if I should be treating for splayed legs or leave it for a few days to see if it fixes itself???

Ducklings often have feet that curl a little inward as well right when they hatch, but after about a day everything should straighten out. If they don't by tomorrow, then it would be time to treat for splay leg.
