Newborns with 3 week old

Hi all! When hatching my first batch of eggs about a week ago I only had one end up hatching. I did start a new batch of eggs incubating because I didn’t want this one to grow up on its own. If I only have a single three week old would it be OK to place the newborns in with the single three week old?

First I would provide the single chick with a mirror for company and so that it knows that it is a chicken. I would not introduce new chicks to it until they were at least a week old, and then I would monitor very closely. It may or may not work.
