Newby from Wisconsin

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

It is important that the primary part of their diet be a grower feed, and that extra feeds compose not more than 15% of their daily calories. Feeding too much other stuff will unbalance their diet, leading to incorrect calcium to phosphorus ratio, inadequate or too much protein, and incorrect levels of important vitamins and minerals. When they are adults they will tolerate dietary imbalances more.
