I just got ten Buff Orpington chicks in August. One turned out to be a rooster, but he died one night about three months ago. They started laying at 20.5 weeks and are laying 7-8 eggs a day. I feel like that’s pretty good since they’re young and it’s January. My girls all love me. As soon as I go sit on the deck, several run up and sit on my legs. Clara likes to come in the house and watch TV with me every night. It turns out that she loves musicals. Last night we watched West Side Story and she was riveted to the screen for the entire thing. This is Flora and I as I write this.
