I'm not sure what you mean? He is only 25 months and healthy (as far as I know).
I was talking about my rooster. My rooster had 18 to 20 hens to cover by himself. He died a little over a month ago. His successors are growing up in my flock now but have a ways to go before they start battling it out for dominance hierarchy in the flock.
My rooster was always an excellent role model and disciplinarian for young cockerels growing up in my flock. That's what I meant by I didn't know how his successors were going to come out without him to teach them.

I'm sorry about your loss. I understand and I should have allowed the Buckeye to teach the RIR earlier than 5 months. Hopefully your young cockerels will take after him.

We currently have 2-3 12 week old cockerels. I'm going to allow then to remain for a little longer.

I like the looks of the RIR, #2 roo, but golly, he's nothing nothing like our Buckeye. I have caught him and stopped him from trying to mount the young pullets 3 times. They are 12 and 15 weeks. He has tried this first thing in the morning when let out. I had to run to stop him.

Sorry you lost your rooster... 😞 Sounds like he was a good one!
