Newer duck owner

Hi. My wife and I recently acquired 2 ducks. One Indian runner and a Peking. We are doing our best to keep them happy. I built an outdoor coop/run for them but want to have them indoors too. They lived their first 2 months inside and seem to miss being with us.

So glad you could join our community! Babies bond strongly with you and at first, being kicked out of the human nest, they can be a bit needy. But they will adjust to their new home and pretty soon you couldn't get them back into your house even if you tried!

Thanks. We actually like having them in with us at times. Right now we keep them in the run while at work and let them forge in the yard once we get home but can't let them alone for too long due to coyotes in the area. They still go to the house door to go inside but I have to carry them into the pen. I have to train them to go in there on their own. I ordered the diaper harness for them to make inside life a little more enjoyable.
