Newer to ducks

There are never any guarantees, but my best go-to place is my local and state poultry groups on Facebook.

I use Craigslist once in a while, but I saw someone yesterday say to stay away from there for a bit. I don't know what that was about so maybe nothing at all.
I don't have social media..I would have to use craigs list. Although I've not heard good things

How would I go about rehoming him to someone safe?
This is a risk we take when rehoming. You never know for sure what happens after they leave your hands. I have had people promise me they knew someone looking for my particular drake but I don't know that for a fact. I have used Craigslist and also found people with ducks and have actually been able to trade drakes for some of my Hens. I was very lucky there.

Existing was 1 drake 2 girls
Newbies turned out to be 1 drake and 1 girl.
How do I find someone close to me that would be kind to him and home him?
Maybe there's a Facebook group for your community. The little town nearest to us even has one.

Otherwise, perhaps take pictures, make several copies, and post them on the bulletin boards at the grocery store, library, etc.

I would also put on the ad for them that they are quiet. Some people can't have ducks because of the noise and drakes are much more quieter than Hens. That might be a point of interest for someone.

Welcome back to BackYard Chickens! And a Big Hello from Eastern Nebraska. Do you have any picture's of your Duck's that you'd like help with Breed Identification?
I have a black(ish) duck whose breed I cannot identify. By the size, I assume it’s a male, but that is about all I know. I have attached a couple of pictures. (Yes, I know that potentially my ratio of duck is 4m/2f. I don’t know what to do about that. 😂) Please let me know if you need more pictures. Thank you to whomever is able to identify him!

Hi, you can post their pictures here or in the Duck Forum, and someone should help you. Good luck! https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/what-breed-or-gender-is-this.15/
