Hi! I am relatively new to backyard chickens although we got our first 8 chicks last April. Unfortunately 6 turned out to be cockerels that aren't allowed to we have added to the flock piecemeal until will have 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Blue Splash Wyandottes, a Red Speckled Sussex and Rhode Island Red. Oh and 4 new mix breed chicks that hatched from eggs put under our persistently broody Wyandotte. I have had a lot of questions over the past year and still do but managed to "Google" most of the answers. Chickens have turned out to be infinitely more fascinating and complicated than I originally imagined. Looking forward to learning more from those with more experience.
