Michael - I have one Isa brown, who is an absolute sweetheart, and the other 4 are mixes

You're welcome. Actually Isa Browns are mixed as well. They are Red Sex Links, produced by crossing a RIR rooster with a RIW hen. Isa Brown is one of many labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links, and like all Red Sex Links, they are egg laying machines, outlaying either parent breed. You will get loads of eggs from that lady. )

Oh wow okay. That's really interesting. See? I'm learning already And yes, I think I got her two years ago and she's still my best layer. Giving me double yolks every so often too.
