They once were combined and it didn’t fare well for the chicks born to the RIR. (Chicks born since are doing well!). They are separate for now but will be together again eventually. It was never the plan to adopt the five Golden Comets, but my grandfather decided to stick to pigeons when my grandmother passed so we took them in. They are very friendly and were great with the other adult RIRs!It you ever get to combine those two flocks the RIR rooster will be right at home with those Golden Comet girls as they are half RIR. If memory is not messing with brain the other half of the Golden Comet girls are Rhode Island Whites. I should did that tid bit of info up to make certain.
Edit: Golden Comets are a cross between NH Reds and White Rocks.
