Newly Adopted Chicks, Newly Obsessed Mama

I just adopted our first 3 baby chicks, 2 Buff Orpingtons and 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte. We are expecting 6 more hybrid mix Bantams in a few days, which were incubated and hatched in my son's 1st grade class. We are so excited to have our first few home already, my son has been running around the house squealing with joy! I am a little nervous, trying to make sure we've got everything figured out and set up just right.

I'm so glad to have all the information on this site to help me! I'll keep you posted as I continue on my new chicken adventure!

Thanks for the warm welcome! My chicks are doing great! Just introduced the group of 3 week old bantams into the brooder with the 1 week old Buffs and Wyandotte. Everyone is playing nice and snuggling up like they have known each other for years. Very relieved that its all going to smooth so far.
