Thanks everyone! Now if I can stop reading this site all the time I can get to building my coop and run.
For now the chicks will have to stay invisible, today is the second reading of the code change in my county. How many people on here have "not quite legal" chicken set ups, I wonder? Not that anyone would admit it of course, unless their chicks have ninja stealth.
