Around 24 hours ago my barred rock egg hatched. It took her around 14 hours to break free which I can understand would exhaust her. She had not absorbed the yolk sac completely and it was hanging out far enough I was nervous she was pull her insides out by stepping on it. I cut it off, cauterized it and sterilized with wash. She has not been able to walk at all and seems to be scooting or sliding when she needs to move. She is doing nothing but sleeping and I am waking her up every few hours to give her sugar water. She is not eating or drinking on her own. Also her legs look a little uneven to me so I put a little bit of medical tape keeping her legs only like an inch apart to help strengthen them. I am at a loss for how else I can help her.
