Newly hatched chick with a bubble tummy

I have two newly hatched chicks. One has some sory of bubble where the belly button is and another one has a black belly button. What happened and what can I do?

Sounds like temperature and humidity issues during incubation and also possibly bacterial infection.

The best thing I've found to do for birds like this is to dust the navel of each with styptic powder plus tetracycline, and then give the birds tetracycline in the water for about 10 days if they live. If you don't have those, in a pinch very carefully dab neosporin ointment on the navels for now until you can get some tetracycline.

It depends on how bad it is. They often can recover from this and be OK.
