Newly hatched chickens and ducks

After a couple of unsuccessful attempts at incubating eggs, we decided to increase the number in the incubator - and now we have 10 chicks and 3 ducks. The chicks are 3 weeks old and the ducks are 2 weeks old. I've built an indoor brooder because the chicks outgrew their box quickly. (side by side - ducks are separate - too wet and messy!) We will need to figure out how many we can keep (weighing size of backyard, upkeep responsibilities the kids will take on) and build an outdoor coop. Learning fast, lots of questions - so that is why I joined
