Hi,
I just set a dozen eggs moments after cleaning and sterilizing bator. I went back 1/2 hour later to check temp/humidity to find those newly set eggs sweating. They totally had condensation all over them. They were room temperature (60 degrees) and the water trays were full in my LG and the temp was 98.2 degrees. I've not seen this happen before, any clues? oh, the humidity on both thermometer/hydrometers was 68%, so i took one of the plugs out on top of the bator. Also, the eggs were shipped, they came from the west in just 3 days, sat yesterday all day and overnight before I set them this morning. They're fresh.
Thanks for any insight,
Kathy

That happens when they are put in the incubator and they are too cold. It is best to keep them at room temperature for several hours prior to setting them.

My duck eggs did thast last night. The bator was at 99.9. I put the eggs in from room temp. They began to sweat about 30 minutes later. They are fine. The eggs are just coming up to meet the same temp of the bator.
