Congrats on your new chickens and best wishes with all of your plans. I'm sure you'll all find they are therapeutic in many ways. 
Welcome. We are happy to be your chicken resource center.(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm new to everything, just bought a small acreage and getting 6 chickens this weekend.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I will have 6
(3) What breeds do you have? Have no idea what breed they are
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Don't know yet.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Lately I've been remodeling my childhood home, getting ready to sell it. And discovered I really like working with epoxy. I did our countertop and bar and I loved it.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Been married for almost 24 years, I have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats. I am a Host home provider. Which means I have a live in client that has a mental disability. He has been with us for 3 years. This allows me and my husband to work from home. We plan to build a homestead. We plan on chickens, goats and a cow or 2. My mother-in-law lives with us as well and plans to garden.
