Muffi after seeing how friendly and sweet those turkys I picked up for SunStar are, I would like to pick up at least 3 more, preferably hens but it doesnt matter much which they are,
these turkeys are adorable.

Aren't they the best? I miss them, especially the tom (whom we called Marshmallow by the way

). I have a ton of eggs in the bator, so hopefully I'll get good hatches. I already have a couple babies, and after only a week the little tom is already displaying and trying to gobble, so hopefully I'll be able to make some good guesses about which are females.

Turkeys are the hardest little buggers to sex at an early age, but It doesn matter hens or toms they will all have a good home and I just bet MaryAnne has me get her a few more, once she gets her skrawny self back here and sees how sweet these are she is going to be in love.
I love that Tom, Cass goes out to play with him on a daily basis, so kid friendly. cant say he is impressed with my Buff Tom trying to out gobble him LOL.
Frome day light to dusk there is constant glbble wars LOL I am not even sure who is winning.
When Mary Anne gts back and they go to her house where supervision will be 24/7 I am going to miss these guys.
I didnt feel comfortable leaving them at her house where something could get at them, no one there but my daily visits to feed water and lunge the horses.

Cass has insisted we get more so she can name a Tom Chester , crazy kid.

I owe Cassi a polish after she captured my runaway roo last summer, but I guess if she wants a darlin' baby tom to name Chester then I can't deny her!

This little guy is the sweetest ever. When you come over to the brooder he can't wait to be held!

But can you really say no to a face like this?

This baby loves attention too.

That was your chicken she caught? LOL I had totally forgot about the great chicken escape, that was the funniest escapade of the day LOL.
so many people trying so many misses , so many laughs.

Omg I love how the midgets start displaying at such a young age. it totally cracks me up.
Cassi says she would prefer the little Chester bird I think she is already in love lol.

Is the chicken a blue crested Polish? love the markings.

OK, I'll save Chester for Cassi (plus a few others hen-hopefuls for you)!

I'm swimming in baby polish - they are all white crested blue, since the runaway roo was WC black and the hen is a beautiful WC splash that my daughter got from keesmom.

I'll probably have the parent pair for sale at the swap. I need to make room and my daughter is willing to part with her splash girl to keep one of the blue babies.

Awesome she will be thrilled, ahhh turkeys turkeys turkeys. Sun Stars turkey trio are laying and I checked the eggs in the bator and they are fertile. Yeahhhhh. when the others get here they should be just about hatched out or very close to it. I cant wait.
I also have to get an email or phone number for woman in your near area that is looking or Midget White Turkeys.
I will gt the info to you as soon as I can get it from a friend of mine.

Well, if you have a good hatch and decide not to buy more from me, that's totally fine. Keep an eye on the air cells. I've had some bad hatches where they didn't lose enough moisture, even though chicken eggs incubated alongside did great. I'm having to lower the humidity.

I usually run humidity in the mid 40's for all eggs even geese and duck and have had excellent hatches.
right now one bator has turkey, chicken and quail in there.
watching air cells and so far on the ones I can see into ( quail not so easy to see through blue liner) all cells are perfectly fine.
got a couple eggs due to hatch in a few days getting a brooder set up so they wont send quail eggs flying around the incubator lol.

I will still have to buy poults lol so far one 3 eggs in the incubator and I will have to send people to you in order to fill out the Midget orders, I have to keep enough poults to fill up my Heritage Turkey Displays.
I put Displays on for Surrounding Towns during their Harvest fairs.
and pssstttt this year I am not lugging around a 35 lb Jersy Buff Tom

Yeah, my humidity was running 40-50% and a lot of turkey eggs ended up with small air cells. Poor babes pipped internally but then died. Now I am having to let it drop to 20-30% every few days to get enough moisture out of the turkey eggs. Not sure why they are evaporating more slowly than my chicken eggs.
