Could possibly be there is way to much humidity in the room air. I had that issue a year ago with chicken eggs.
once I adjusted for the room humidity everything was good.
have you checked room humidity? whats it running,I have to be careful because my incubator is in the bathroom. must remember to crack a widow duriing showers.

oh ok, i want to take a ride up there and look at what happen on the beach, what got distroyed.
