Hi all,

I've somehow accuired the bug to keep chickens!?! Working out my coop plan today and will start building it tomorrow, It will be 4'x4'x6' with an 8'x8'x4' fully enclosed run. I'm thinking 4 hens and a rooster, all the same breed. Will anyone be bringing some dual purpose cluckers that would be good for an absolute beginner? Thanks in advance.

I think chickn has some standard layer type pullets (buff orps, partridge rocks) that she'll be bringing. I don't think she has roos from those breeds though. She's in Seabrook too.

sundays swap was changed to the following sunday, so 2 in one day next sunday, oh ya great ..lol

I am bringing my kidles to the swap as we have never been before. We have 24 eggs in our incubator (we only wanted 6-8 chickens!) so I woun't be buying any....but I don't s'pose there'll be any kittens there....???
