Niacin Deficiency Recovery

Hello all, I have a Pekin duck (about 10 weeks) who has been struggling with a niacin deficiency for a while. I had tried liquid B complex and brewers yeast and there was no improvement. Her legs remained very swollen, they were boeing, becoming pigeon toed and she was having a lot of trouble walking. I finally decided to try giving her B complex injections and yesterday was her first shot. Even just overnight she has already seemed to improve a bit. Her legs are still a mess, but she has been keeping up with the rest of her friends all morning. I am just wondering if she will be able to make a full recovery from this or if she will always struggle. Is a niacin deficiency fully curable or should I expect her to always have some problems walking?

Don’t give up on her! If the injections are working keep them up. But I honestly wouldn’t let her be running around until you see good improvement. Give those legs time to recover!
