my geese are four years old. They’ve been on nutrena all flock diet plus grass dandelions lettuce peas etc most their life . I recently started making them a mash every morning using Purina duck pellets and some nutritional yeast. They absolutely love it I mean, love. They still have a bowl available of the pellets which they only eat from when the mash runs out..
I heard someone say that duck pellets don’t have enough niacin for geese
But I’ve been looking at the guarantee analysis is of the allflock versus the duck pellet, and the allflock mentions niacin in the ingredients, but doesn’t say how much in the analysis.
But the duck pellets mention it in the analysis it says niacin 65 ppm.
???
so which feed has enough niacin for geese ?

They probably both do. The niacin requirements are really important while geese are goslings due to their fast growth rate, but the requirements are not that high after they've hit adulthood. If they've got good grazing and their main food source isn't corn, which is notoriously low in niacin, it's not something to really worry about. Also, feed manufacturers have been very responsive when I've emailed them about the nutritional percentages of their feed. Don't be afraid to email them and ask specifically about niacin levels. Even if it's not on the label, they do have that information.
