Niacin or brewer's yeast?

I keep seeing different suggestions and that ducks need it or they do fine without. I have 4 ducklings. 2 that are 4 weeks and 2 that are 1week old. Do they really need it and if so where do I buy it and is it ok if chicks have it also since they all eat the same food

How much they do or don't need it depends on how much niacin is in the food you are feeding them. I'd err on the safe side and provide additional niacin since most feed is not formulated with ducklings in mind. The early weeks when they are still growing is when it's most important. Sometimes you can buy it at a feed store and sometimes at your grocery store, it just depends what they actually carry. I'd call around some of your local shops and see if they carry Brewers' Yeast.

Niacin is very important for duckling's proper leg growth. They can develop weak/flimsy legs or other problems if they don't have it. My local grocery stores do not carry brewers yeast, so I ordered this one on Amazon
