Do keets need niacin supplement on their food like ducklings do? Considering their legs are so frail, I was wondering if it is a lack of niacin in their diet.

Keets should be fed a high protein turkey or gamebird starter. A proper turkey or gamebird starter will have the needed amounts of protein, lysine, methionine and niacin.

If they are not being fed a proper turkey or gamebird starter, it can be beneficial to supplement their niacin. One method to supplement it is by dissolving 1/2 capsule or tablet of vitamin B complex in one gallon of water. Do not mix anything else in the water. Make it their only source of water and it should be made fresh daily. It will supply the needed amounts of various B vitamins such as niacin and thiamine.

Thank you. They are on game bird starter, so I guess they are getting everything they need.

When do their legs become less frail, if ever?

Compared to other poultry, never. An adult guinea has more frail legs than an adult chicken which is why it is not recommended to grab a guinea by its legs.
