I hope your right. Oh and I have only had one duckling inside that was Opie. He was pretty chilled as a baby but I had him from hatch too maybe with Missy being with a flock for a couple weeks is the difference . But keep trying maybe peas or mealworms will win her over.

Shes still to small to eat peas, I think she was mabye 3 days old when i got her. How old dp you think she is here?

So missy is the cutest but shes not cuddle like any duckling ive had before. She will not sit on you or chill out all she does is run and bounce around, She cuddled n fell asleep on me the first day but mabye from the exhausting truck ride home

Are miscovies like that?

She loves piper tho. Even tho its like a chicken nugget trying to make friends with a fat kid !

Oh and a quick thaught. could new feathers and pin feathers be sore and tender and cause part of the teenage personality change?

Oh I think definitely so on the feathers growing in. That may be why nibbler is starting to shy away. Your new one isn't old enough for that yet I don't think.
I've never had muscovy ducks. .but I can tell you one thing. Ducklings temperament can be extremely different depending on the mother. .I have found that in my flock for certain now that I've had this latest hatch.
This was my first hatch from an imprinted mama and the difference is phenomenal. I go sit out with them and they just gather around me instead of screaming and running for their lives like I'm an axe murderer!

And I've noticed with all of my brooder raised ducklings so far there is a time period about 3 weeks or so in they suddenly become fearful of everything and don't wanna be picked up much anymore. Probably that's when the feathers start coming in.

I am SO going to prank my husband with these pictures. . he is off on a job out of state tonight. . last night I had that weak duckling in the house and he worried to death the cat would eat it.

I'll bet he will believe that's our cat with one of our ducks if I send him one of those pics

Awww your muscovy looks like speedy did!!! I'm glad nibble took to mary and bert - sugar stays with Isabella and Soda during the day. But when I look in on them at night, shes always off in a corner by herself.
